Kingdom Speaking

KINGDOM SPEAKING (SELF-TALK)

Heb. 13:15 – Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

Therefore, through Christ Jesus let us without stop bring to God a sacrifice of praise, that is a putting-to-death wrong speaking, so the produce of our words speaks covenant-agreement with thanksgiving that acknowledges the power of His name. (My own translation)

FRUIT PRODUCES MORE FRUIT –

1. Kingdom Speaking, as does all speaking) starts in the heart – Pro. 23:7 – As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

a. Our words reveal what we understand about who we are as citizens of another Kingdom and

b. Who we believe God the Father, Jesus, and the HS are to us.

c. Our words also show our maturity level – under-developed fruit or ripened fruit.

2. Identified by FRUIT of our words – Mt. 7:16-20 – You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.

a. good fruit (agathos – tree; kalos – fruit) of good & honest character; beautiful, valuable, beneficial, full of faith towards God.

b. TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS – Is. 61:1, 3 – The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound…to console/appoint all who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

i. Since you are a Tree of Righteousness planted by God, your fruit will reflect this.

ii. Your words will bring the same comfort, healing, encouragement, etc., that Jesus gave to you.

c. I Cor.2:12 – Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.

i. Rev. 21:6 – We’ve been given the fountain of the water of life freely.

ii. Ro. 3:24 – We are justified freely by His grace thru the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

iii. Mt. 10:8 – We have authority to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils; freely have you received; freely give!

iv. Ro. 8:32 – Jesus has given us freely all things – His authority, grace, favor, ability….to do as He directs with the Father backing us up by doing the works.

FRUITFUL LIPS/TALKING

1. Pro. 12:14 - A man shall be satisfied (filled to satiety) with good by the fruit (bough produce/fruit.

reward) of his mouth.

a. Whether you think you CAN or think you CAN’T, you’re right. I want to focus on Kingdom speaking in this lesson. We’re all too familiar with negative talk.

b. Kingdom talking is always from Heaven’s vocabulary and viewpoint. It is positive!

2. Examples:

a. Confident – Phil. 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

b. Strong – Is 40:29 – He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might, He increases strength. (The Lord is my strength and shield – Ps. 28:7)

i. Ps. 27:6 – My head will be lifted up above my enemies; therefore, I will offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of JOY. YOU are His Tabernacle/temple.

ii. II Cor. 12:9 – My grace is sufficient for you; for MY strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

c. Joyful - Neh. 8:10 -…the JOY of the Lord is your strength.

d. Citizens of Kingdom of God – Jn.18:36 – Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world; if My Kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight…. but now is My Kingdom not from hence.

e. Disciplined in body, mind, and desires – I Cor. 9:25-27 –

i. Self-restrained - temperate in all things.

ii. Purposeful/Mindful - to obtain an incorruptible crown; choosing the right battles – not as one that beats the air.

iii. Curbs fleshly desires to avoid – being a castaway

f. Pleasing to the Father – Jn. 15 –

i. Abides in Christ Jesus

ii. Does the Father’s will (obeys His commands)

iii. Endures pruning when needed with humility and trust

g. Walks in love towards all – Jn. 13:35 – By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

i. Our love demonstrates who we are; what Kingdom we’re from; what authority we are under.

ii. Phil. 4:6-8, 19 – Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things…And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Take time before the Lord to allow Him to adjust your thoughts, heart, and soul to be in alignment, agreement, with who He has destined you to be: His son; His daughter who is a member of His royal family and a citizen of His eternal Kingdom.
